“Spectacular”, “phenomenal”,
“fabulous”, “magnificent”,
“breath-taking” are some adjectives
normally associated with the mention of Sipadan
or Mabul. Do a Google on “Diving Sipadan”
or “Diving Mabul” and you’ll
be buried under an avalanche of articles and
pictures to make you drool.
Off the southeast coast of Sabah in East Malaysia,
rising from 700m of abyss in the Celebes Sea,
is the oceanic island of Sipadan – an
underwater mecca. When Jacques Cousteau |
| explored the island waters back
in 1989, he had this to say – “I
have seen other places like Sipadan , 45 years
ago, but now no more. Now we have found an
untouched piece of art.” |
