The trip starts
off from Tioman
for easy-going check-out dives to warm you up for
the Kuantan waters. Be taken back in time when you
dive “Varella”, a WWII Japanese oil
cargo ship which still has its AA guns in tact.
Also on the itinerary is the “Kuantan Wreck”.
Lying on her portside on a baron sandy bottom, this
magnificent underwater ruin is an underwater city,
pulsating with life.
Decorated with a multicolored corals, it offers
prime real estate to many fish life - scorpion fish,
lionfish, giant mapped pufferfish, schools of batfish,
giant trevallies, jacks, cobias and the occasional
visits from a squadron of huge marble rays with
eyes bigger than tennis balls. |
