compressor for air tool?
I have bad arthritis and have been searching for a hand held electric scrubbing brush, not the little battery operated one for cups and dishes, but a commercial one for scrubbing carpets specifically. i have found one in the USA which is ideal , hand sized and round which is perfect but it is an air tool and needs a compressor to operate. When I looked at what it would need to run it, the compressors are about the size of an air tank which scuba divers use and is not practical for me. I was wondering if anyone has come across something like this before, or could suggest another compressor. apparently the mini compressors are not quite up to spec, but the bigger ones in the tool shops are too big and noisy, almost like generators, for me to use in customers homes. any advice welcome. thanks
Construction people, as in residential carpenters etc. use a fairly compact compressor which is still up to two horsepower. they have a small tank or two smaller tanks stacked and are just about small enought to pick up and carry. Not sure off hand what out put, but it seems like around 8 cfm @ 40 psi.
